Wind Energy, an essential part of solving the energy crisis

I readily admit I am not an expert in wind technology. But, having an entrepreneurial way about me, I can see the need for developing energy solutions using renewable resources including wind technology. My focus will be on the what and how for adding wind technology for your home, and possibly your business. One thing I will tell you right now, there are some real scams out there. So be careful, and do your homework before investing in anything that sounds too good to be true.

When I first visited the San Joaquin Valley in California several years ago, I was fascinated with the large wind turbines lining the valley. At the time, I worked for Kerr-McGee Corp., an Oklahoma City based energy company. So after returning home, I asked our CEO why we didn't pursue wind energy... after all, we were already in the oil & gas, refining, uranium, chemicals, coal, and forest products business. His answer was simply that there wasn't enough money to be made in wind energy. His answer may have been okay for then, but it is wrong for now. (By the way, Kerr-McGee is out of business now.)

The Wind Technology sections of this website will grow as I further research the subject. But for now, for information on wind technology I will refer you to Mariah Power, at www.mariahpower.com. These folks are doing it right.
